| On Monday Nov. 9th Tim Griffin Attended a 3 way tiebreaker for the District 8-6A 2nd place and a spot in the Playoffs between Seminole Ridge High School, Atlantic High School and Park Vista High School. |
| The event took place at Park Vista HS in Boynton Beach. The 3 teams got a chance to settle it on the field in a bizarre format in which Atlantic HS and Seminole ridge played a 12 minute quarter and the winner playing Park Vista in a 12 minute period for 2nd place. In the first game it was a stale mate 0-0 with the gusty winds and wet field neutralizing Atlantic's great passing game. In OT Seminole ridge was able to punch it through to win the game and move on to face Park Vista.
The game for 2nd place was dominated by Seminole ridge who's power rushing attack is suited perfectly for this type of 12 minute game. They grinded the clock down with their wing T offense and had Park Vista pinned at there own 1 yard line and forced a subsequent safety. Following that Seminole Ridge drove the field and scored with less than 2 min remaining to cement the victory 9-0 and clinching a spot in the playoffs. The teams have one more regular season game before the playoffs. |
