November 27, 2009 Tony and Tim from Playerville.com were at the Blanche Ely vs. Boyd Anderson Class 5A Second Round Playoff Game.

The game was an exciting back and forth battle with Ely's Mike German leading his team to the victory 34-26 on the back of three touchdowns, one passing, two rushing. He went 11-19 for 175 yards. Ely's running back Tavarius Walker also scored two rushing touchdowns as a result of 20 carries for 88 yards. Notable Boyd Anderson statistics include running back Marcus Thompson's 19 rushes for 140 yards while Quarterback Dane James was 17 for 29 in pass attempts for 281 yards.
